Dr Timothy Peacock is a Lecturer in History and War Studies, who has been teaching the Masters course on "The American Way of War" since 2015 and on "Games and Gaming History" since 2022. 

His research interests include Nuclear History, Spaceflight History & Space Security, Games & Gaming, AI and Politics, as part of investigating socio-political and military impacts of new technologies. His areas of research and teaching involve American, British and Global History. 

As Director and co-founder of the University’s Games and Gaming Lab (UofGGamesLab), he leads teams of up to 35 research assistants, interns and software programmers. He has been Principal Investigator for wargaming and Serious Games projects with organisations from the United Nations and NATO to St Giles' Cathedral and ScotRail.
