UiT The Arctic University of Norway

The Arctic University of Norway is the northernmost university in the world. The university consists of 8 faculties and a 1:8 teacher-student ratio providing excellent learning environment. Being located in the High North, it focuses a lot of its research on climate change, exploitation of Artic resources and environmental threats. About 15% of students are international.

Tromsø is located north of the Arctic Circle and northern lights can be spotted from September to April. The city hosts plenty of festivals including the Tromsø International Film Festival and the Northern Lights Music Festival. Winter sports are also a popular leisure activity and a ski jump is located just outside of the city.
