Pompeu Fabra University Barcelona, Spain

Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) is situated across three campuses within Barcelona and focuses on Social Sciences and Humanities, Health and Life Sciences and Communication and Information Technologies. It is named after Pompeu Fabra, the man who created the Catalan language as it is known today. As a relatively new university it has performed well in league tables coming second place in the Times Higher Education ranking 2015.

Barcelona is Spain’s second largest city with a booming nightlife and cultural scene. Catalonia is home to the unique architecture of Gaudí such as the Sagrada Familia, as well as numerous music festivals and an expansive beach.
